After purchasing a telescope in March 2023, I quickly got sucked down the rabbit hole of astrophotography. This is my first shareable image, completed in June 2023. The North America Nebula is a large gas region near the constellation Cygnus, and is about 1,700 light years from our sun. It’s a massive object in the night sky…if visible to the naked eye, it would fill a region about 10 times the size of the full moon!
